Two Indicted By Grand Jury For Pointe-Aux-Chenes Murder

Lafourche Parish District Attorney Kristine Russell announced that the District Attorney’s Office

was able to secure two indictments on 2nd degree murder charges after D.A. Russell presented

the cases to a Lafourche Parish Grand Jury early Thursday morning, September 12th.

 

Terance Dupre, 22, and Devante Matthews, 21, were each indicted for the May 2019 murder of

Kirby Corteaux in Pointe-Aux-Chenes.

 

Dupre and Matthews are both scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, September 13th, and are being

held at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on a $1,000,000 bond each.

 

If convicted, 2nd Degree Murder carries a mandatory life sentence.
