22 Jun Three Indicted for 2019 Thibodaux Murder

Lafourche Parish District Attorney Kristine Russell announced that the District Attorney’s Office was able to secure three separate grand jury indictments on Monday afternoon, June 21^st.

Joshua Birdis, Brennan Mitchell Jr. and Wilfred Mitchell were each indicted for 2^nd Degree Murder stemming from a 2019 shooting in Thibodaux. 1^st Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Richard presented the case.

All three defendants are being held at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex each with a $1,000,000 bond.

If convicted, 2^nd Degree Murder carries a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.

Joshua Birdis, Brennan Mitchell Jr. and Wilfred Mitchell are each set for arraignment on June 29^th, 2021.
