Gheens Man Sentenced To 15 Years For 2nd Degree Sexual Battery

Lafourche Parish District Attorney Kristine Russell announced that a Gheens man, who pled guilty to two (2) counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Battery in July of 2019, was sentenced yesterday, September 30th.

Ronnie Dominique, 70, was sentenced to fifteen (15) years without benefit of probation, parole or diminution of sentence per count of 2nd Degree Sexual Battery and lifetime sex offender registration, said Assistant District Attorney Jason Chatagnier, who prosecuted the case. Dominique’s two fifteen (15) year sentences are to be served concurrent.

Dominique committed the crime while the victims swam in his swimming pool in May of 2018. The victims came forward and shared what happened to them, which led to the arrest of Dominique in July of 2018.

Dominique will immediately begin his sentence with the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
